Camino de Santiago

Walking the Camino is kinda a St. Philip’s thing. Well for some of our parishioners anyway! Paula and Bruce have walked the Camino twice before, and are now on their Portugal journey. Watch here for more information about their journey….here’s a little bit of what you are going to read!

We are in Padron, 25 km from Santiago and I have left my rock filled with prayers at Santiaguino do Monte. It now lies at the foot of the statue beneath the cross. It is one of Canon Nancy’s peace rocks from St. Philip’s. I wrote “cherish the children” on the rock.
This spot witnesses the start of St. James’ ministry on the Iberian peninsular initiating the whole Camino de Santiago story. It seemed the right place for the rock.
