On Saturday, June 11, 2022, St. Philip’s Milford held an afternoon tea, in celebration of HM The Queen’s Jubilee year. We couldn’t let something as important as 70 years as our Queen go without a bit of a splash! In true Royal fashion we had plenty of Victoria Sponge to eat and tea was served in prettiest china cups.
The Tea Party started in the Church, with the singing of God Save the Queen, and a prayer upholding and in thanksgiving for the years of dedication to the Commonwealth of HM The Queen, Elizabeth II.
After the brief service there was the ringing of the church bells, celebrating the 70 years reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
And then it was time for some cake and tea! The Hall was beautifully decorated, along with a table of memorabilia and highlights of HM The Queen’s life so carefully and lovingly curated by Mary.
We want to thank everyone who helped make The Queen’s Tea a rounding success, and for all who attended. God Save the Queen!
