Links to Listening

Friday, September 30, 2022, was Canada’s second Truth & Reconciliation Day. For many, it was a holiday. For most, it was a day of listening and reflecting. There is so much work to be done to get to Reconciliation. So we thought we would start with providing information, to read, to watch, but mostly, to begin listening.

On Sunday September 25, 2022, St. Philip’s Milford, joining with Wellington United Church and St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Wellington, for a special Service of Reflection before Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Day. Click on the photo beside for a link to this service.

On June 11, 2008, Canada’s then prime minister, Stephen Harper, made an apology to the Indigenous Peoples. Click on the photo for a link to the video of this apology.

And we also find the Legacy of Hope website quite helpful in our listening. The Education Video’s section might have some information you would be interested in.

God bless.
