At this time our visiting with seniors is suspended due to COVID-19 precautions. When we are able, this vital ministry to County long term care homes and retirement residences, includes visits with the residents, worship services, music and pastoral care. Our visits are coordinated by the Rev. Fran Langlois, with volunteers and financial support for this ministry from the Anglican parishes in Prince Edward County; St. Mary Magdalene in Picton, St. Andrew’s in Wellington, St. Philip’s in Milford and St. John’s in Waupoos. The churches are directly involved in helping with special services held at Christmas and in the Spring. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, and the importance of keeping our seniors safe and healthy, we are not currently able to hold services or visits at the County long term care homes and retirement residences. However, Rev. Fran has been reaching out and keeping in touch with many residents with phone calls, sending occasional cards, dropping off magazines, puzzle books, novels, other items and gifts on special occasions to let the residents know that they are not forgotten. We do continue to uphold the residents, caregivers, and their families in our prayers, and look forward to getting together in person as soon as it is safe to do so!
